A fire that spreads to the forest. This is the scenario that the firefighters were confronted with the Center Parcs Le Bois aux Daims de Morton, near Loudun, Tuesday, May 6, 2025. It was fortunately only a large -scale training sequence for the SDIS firefighters (departmental fire and rescue service).
An exercise for help, but also for the park, whose director Jérémy Malkic organized a crisis cell with officials. About twenty officers on one side and nearly ten employees of the park worked on a situation close to reality in the second tourist site of Vienna.

The officers note the information given by the park staff: “All the skills of the teams are at the service of the firefighters, which allows them to be effective and to make decisions quickly. »» The challenge is to limit the damage and to leave the site as quickly as possible, to manage the victims, to take care of evacuating tourists and animals.
The exercise made it possible to use the Novi (number of victims) and SINUS software, which has existed since the Bataclan attack. The observers present during the exercise analyzed the work for the debrief, back in Poitiers.
This training, for whom Colonel Schmidt, deputy director of the SDIS, took command of the rescue operation, accompanied by commanding Céline Guilbert, a territorial grouping, is part of the training and improvement of acquired training (FMPA).
Note that the Center Parcs has agents trained at SSIAP 1 to 3 levels (fire safety and assistance service), an internal security device and twelve volunteer firefighters among its staff. He is a partner-employer.
