(Washington) Donald Trump called on his Truth Social network on Thursday to a “unconditional 30-day ceasefire” in Ukraine.

Russia like Ukraine “will have to account” and “if the cease-fire is not respected, the United States and its partners will impose other sanctions,” threatened the American president, shortly after a telephone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
He judged that a cease-fire should lead to a “lasting peace” and promises to “remain committed” to discussions in this direction.
Donald Trump had shortly after his return to power launched discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the conflict launched by the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022.
If he was initially impatiently impatient in the face of Volodymyr Zelensky, the Republican has since had a bit of a tone towards Ukraine, which ratified Thursday an agreement with the United States on minerals, to the great satisfaction of Donald Trump.
The American president has also also shown signs of frustration towards Vladimir Putin.
