What is certain, however, is that the first step takes place this Friday between Durazzo and Tirana in Albania, with a 160 -kilometer route with 1800 meters of elevation. The departure is also scheduled at 1:10 p.m. with an arrival scheduled around 5:15 p.m. Before knowing who will take the first pink jersey of this 2025 edition, a short overlooking of the different Giro bonuses. First of all, there is the winner. This year, between regular premium and additional bonus, the winner will pocket the sum of 265,668 euros. This is obviously more than the second (€ 133,412), the third (€ 68,801), the fourth (€ 21,516) and the fifth (€ 18,150).
€ 11,000 for a stage winner
Several premiums will be paid to the best runners in the classification of each stage and to the carriers of distinctive jerseys. Regarding the stages, the first twenty runners to cross the finish line will obtain a certain sum, ranging from € 11,010 for the first to € 5,508 for the second, € 2,753 for the third and € 276 for those arrived from 10th place to 20th place. The organizers also planned to reward the wearer of the pink jersey (€ 2,000 per day) and that of the ranking per point (€ 750 per day). Moreover, the final premium for the cyclamen of the best sprinter climbs to € 10,000 for the winner, € 8,000 for the second and € 6,000 for the third.
