Officially relegated to championship (2nd division) three days from the end of the championship, Leicester City has nothing to hope for in the end of the Premier League season. Despite everything, the emblematic striker Jamie Vardy, who will leave Leicester this summer after thirteen seasons, fully saw his last moments with the Foxes.
It must be said that the 38 -year -old Englishman, selected 26 times with the Three Lions, is a character apart in the football world. Whether through his particular rituals or his friendly relationships with the opposing supporters, Vardy definitely does not do things like everyone else.
Latest example: Saturday, during the 2-0 victory of Leicester on Southampton in the Premier League, Vardy not only opened the scoring for the Foxes in the 8th minute (his 199th goal with the club, all competitions combined), but he turned into a referee.
In the 21st minute, referee David Webb, victim of a fortuitous contact with Jordan Ayew, collapsed on the ground. Vardy then intervened to borrow the whistle of the game director and interrupt the meeting, the time for the latter to receive care. After eleven minutes of interruption, webb was finally replaced by the fourth referee, which led the rest of the meeting.
