The overalls’ bear and its band land in Switzerland, in a new album and a BD-Fil exhibition. Who is Petzi really? Thierry Capezzone, his current designer, paints a portrait of an absurd and enchanted universe without being Gnangnan.
Petzi is a small Danish bear born in 1951 under the pen and pencil of the Hansen couple. Accompanied by his band of friends, an admiral seal, a penguin, a pelican or a turtle, he goes on an adventure by tinkering with machines.
“It is really this world of childhood where we do not have the codes of the adult world. We are not talking about politics, we are not talking about money,” explains Thierry Capezzone, who has illustrated Petzi since 2009. “It is this imaginary world where we break a piece of wood, we make a boat, we take a piece of paper, we make it a plane.”
We are all little petzi in our heads, we would like to be able to take a branch and go on an adventure!

Petzi arrives Today in Switzerland in a new album. “It’s a tribute,” assumes the designer. “Petzi has this Swiss side, this kindness. And then there is childish food, chocolate, cheese, perfect for Petzi.”
