Five criminal fires broke out in a residential area in Repentigny during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
The authorities first received an appeal around 1 a.m. for two fires in cedar hedges in the Fournier, Fabre, Ferron and Frontenac street sector.
While the firefighters were fighting these two fires, a witness would have indicated having seen an individual dressed in black with a torch in hand on Fabre Street and who was lighting a third fire.
This third fire spread and reached a shed as well as garden furniture that was in the rear courtyard of a residence.
While the police were doing research to find clues, they received another call for a fourth fire on Fournier Street.
-A family was evacuated while their house has undergone some damage.
Then, a car shelter adjacent to a house was also targeted.
A stored boat was the prey of the flames, but the house was unoccupied at the time of the facts.
No one injured was reported.
The Repentigny Police Service apprehended a 16 -year -old teenager shortly after when he had a campsite torch and a propane cylinder in his possession.
