A man suspected of having helped Mohamed Amra to flee to Romania was given to France on Tuesday.
It is the 36ᵉ person implicated in this case.
The hunt continues. A man, who had been arrested in Germany and who is suspected of being involved in the Cavale du Narcotrafier Mohamed Amra to Romania, was given to France this Tuesday, May 7, said the Paris prosecutor’s office. The suspect must be presented to an investigating judge of the National Jurisdiction to Combat Organized Crime (Junalco) with a view to his indictment, said the prosecution, confirming information from RTL (new window).
Several suspects still awaiting extradition
During the escape of the prisoner Mohamed Amra at the Pécarville toll (Eure) on May 14, 2024, two penitentiary agents had been killed by a commando and three other injured. After nine months of run, Mohamed Amra had been arrested in Bucharest on February 22, given to France the following days, then indicted and imprisoned in isolation.
-The suspect on Tuesday to France raises, at least 36 the number of suspects implicated in this sprawling case. Some 35 people, including Mohamed Amra but also rapper Koba Lad, have already been indicted in this file.
Regarding suspects in Germany, two people “Designated by the Romanian authorities as having accompanied Mohamed Amra in his journey towards Romania” had been arrested across the Rhine, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. Two other suspects, arrested in Morocco, are still awaiting extradition.
