
Square for the opening, this Monday, May 5, 2025 in Cairo, of the tenth General Congress of the Organization of the Arab woman. Digital violence: an increasing scourge

These include national awareness campaigns to inform citizens of the dangers of digital violence, support and notification platforms allowing victims to report online violence Anonymously and safely, as well as training on digital management. Training is also regularly organized to learn how to improve knowledge on online presence management and protection against the risks of digital violence.
The need for regional cooperation
During the exchanges of the first day of this event, planned over two days, cooperation between the Arab countries appeared as a key factor for a Effective fight against digital violence. Ms. Ben Yahia stressed in this regard that it was essential to develop common approaches, share good practices and adopt regional public policies to combat this scourge. It insisted on the importance of unity and collective engagement between the countries of the region to create an environment where women can evolve in complete safety, both in the real world and in the digital world.
In conclusion of her speech, Ms. Ben Yahia reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to protect women and strengthen the Fight against digital violence. She recalled that, although significant progress has been made, there is still a lot to do to guarantee a secure digital environment. However, thanks to concrete initiatives set up, as well as reinforced regional cooperation, notable advances are possible. This common desire for change nourishes the hope of a future where women and girls will be able to evolve safely in the digital worlda future that we can build together.
