The Department of Gers is placed in yellow vigilance due to floods on the Save, Gimone, Gers and Traches rivers, caused by stormy rains since Sunday.
On Monday, May 5, the authorities placed the Department of Gers in yellow alert for risk of floods on several rivers: the Save, the Gimone, the Gers and the Arits. This alert concerns a “risk of flooding generating overflowing and localized or dangerous climbing of water”, according to hydrological forecasts.
Particular attention is recommended, especially “for exposed or seasonal activities”.

Since Sunday afternoon, thunderstorm rains have affected the Gers-Arrats section. Water level increases were observed from the night from Sunday to Monday. If the reactions remain weak downstream of the section, the snack should, despite the increase, stay in bed. A return to green alert is scheduled for the next card update at 4 p.m.
