While Audi will enter Formula 1 from 2026, replacing Sauber, the future German team announced that it has made major changes in its organization chart at the start of the week. Adam Baker, who so far held the CEO post of the F1 program, saw his post deleted as announced the brand to the four rings this Monday, adding that this decision was made by mutual agreement. It is Christian Foyer, currently director of chief operations at Audi Formula Racing GmbH (the brand’s sport sector), who will resume the responsibilities of Baker. Binotto changes post
On the sportsman side, Mattia Binotto has also just been announced as head of the Audi F1 project. Currently technical director and director of operations at Sauber, he will aim to develop the installations of the Sauber team in Hinwil (Switzerland) as well as those of Audi in Neubourg-sur-le-Danube (Germany). The former team director of Ferrari will be replaced by Jonathan Wheatley in this position. The latter, arrived from Red Bull, was sports director of the Austrian team as well as chief mechanic for Benetton and Renault.
