They are 71 runners to start this Thursday, May 1 from Paramaribo to Suriname for the 3rd edition of the Grand Prix Cycling of the West. This year, the competition organized by the Regional Committee on behalf of the CCOG, is competed over 4 days. It is on the place of independence against the presidential palace in Paramaribo, that the start of 3 will be givene Grand Prix Cycling of the West at 12:15 p.m., the of the workers’ day. 71 runners representing 13 teams, one of which is from the Suriname and 2 Martiniquaises, will take care of the show once the bridge is crossed towards Albina. 144km are on the menu for this step in Surinamaise land. The other 3 rounds, will then be contested between the municipalities of the CCOG (community of communes of West Guyanese), located on the coast: Mana, Awala-Yalimapo, Apatou and Saint-Laurent du Maroni.

In total, 512km are on the menu in 4 steps. The day on Saturday will be one of the most important with a 14km individual watch in the afternoon between Mana and Awala-Yalimpo, after an online stage in the morning in the jump-sabbath bumps. This 2025 edition of the Grand Prix of the West will end on Sunday on avenue Joseph Symphorien in Saint-Laurent du Maroni, under a 4e and long round of 158km.

If Guadeloupe and Guyana are the big ones absent from this 3e Edition of the Cycling Grand Prix, the Martinicans hope to keep the title.
