Montoire-sur-le-Loir welcomed the best French clergy cyclists

The 25^e French cycling championship of the clergy took place the 1^is and May 2. Thursday 1^is May, in Saint-Amand, after the mass chaired by the Archbishop of Besançon (Doubs) and the meal in the village hall, provided with their bibs given by the secretary of the cycling union, the 70 runners, deacons, priests and nuns, made a race against the watch on a 13 km course (departure from Saint-Amand from the Chavigny company with Montoire). Six women participated in the races.

In Montoire, Friday morning, the runners participated in a circuit race, departure from Montoire to Fontaine-les-Coteaux and return to Montoire with the course on the course, the Côte du Bois Poulain then it was necessary to master the descent of Bas Valleron, a course of 6 times 9 km or 54 km. On the way back, everyone found themselves in the Saint-which church for a mass concelebrated by the priests participating and chaired by Monsignor Francis Bestion, bishop of Blois.

Then, the awards were given to the first three of each race at the village hall, in the presence of Arnaud Tafilet, mayor, Monseigneur Francis Bestion, Bruno Samson, president of the Montoirienne cycling union and members of the office.

This event called on the members of the Montoirian cycling union for the preparation of circuits and the supervision of runners, many volunteers as signals on the courses, for the installation of the tables in the holidays of the host municipalities and the preparation of meals, the storage and for the accommodation of the participants and their families, this event bringing together people from all over France.
