A man in their thirties lost his life when the vehicle in which he took place made a violent swerve at kilometer 37 of the highway 85, in Témiscouata-sur-lac in the evening on May 7. Two other people were injured in this accident, but we are not afraid for their lives.
The driver was traveling northern on the highway and he would have lost the control of his vehicle by performing an overtaking maneuver. “He would then have diverted from his way, crossed the Central Terreplein and the tracks in the opposite direction and then do a condom,” summarizes the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, Frédéric Deshaies.
One of the passengers was transported to the hospital center, where his death was found. The driver, a man in their fifties and another passenger, a man in his forties, were transported to the hospital center to treat minor injuries.
A reconstructionist of the Sûreté du Québec went there to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding this accident. Highway 85 was reopened to traffic at the end of the night. The weather conditions may have contributed to this loss of control, indicates the SQ.
