The BMCI obtains funding of up to 65 million euros from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (BERD), becoming the first bank in Morocco to benefit from the complete system of the Green Economy Fundy Facility (Geff Plus).
Funding is granted within the framework of a partnership with the European Union, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Government of Canada. The loan is part of the “Morocco Decarbonization and Climate Resilience” program aimed at accelerating the adoption of advanced climatic technologies and sustainable practices.

The BMCI will thus be able to offer targeted sub-pre-preparation to SMEs as well as to large companies engaged in ecological transition projects. Funding also includes technical support and investment incentives funded by the EU and the GCF.
-The GEFF Plus, a financing line set up by the BERD, mobilizes funds up to 163 million euros that can benefit hundreds of private companies in the kingdom, through credits granted by local financial institutions.

In Morocco, this system allows local entities to invest in green technologies, to reduce their costs by climate adaptation measures, technologies focused on energy efficiency and renewable energies, which is able to help improve their overall competitiveness.
