Avessacais Pierre-Amaury Pacory is a great enthusiast of writing. He started there since his retirement in 2016 with already with other publications after a course in the Navy. To this passion is added the love of this region of which it is native.
Pierre-Amaury Pacor has just published a new work entitled Between Oust and Vilaine. A reference to the country of Redon crossed by these two rivers and crossing in a territory straddling three departments and two regions. It is a story around the reviviviscence of the district called “de la Motte” in the city of Redon. La Motte with its industries, its craftsmen, its slaughterhouse, its stud farm. The writer evokes in his book this district of La Motte which was very active in the 1900s. A perennial economic area which marked the history of this South Brittany with its specificities.
-With its documentary form, this work worked around the memory of this place steeped in history. At the end connoisseur of the premises, Pierre Amaury Pacory retraced the events that followed one another through these periods and the various actors who participated such as local artisans, butchers, pork trees, tripiers, cattle merchants, skins merchants and craftsmen of the surrounding regions, forced for health reasons, to shoot down or have their animals brought out for public hygiene.
The book was published by Roudenn Grafik and it is on sale at 25 €.
The writer transfers € 2 on each book to finance research on the child’s respiratory pathologies. The profits will be paid to the team of Doctor Cros du CHU de Brest.
