Definitely, the meetings between the neighboring brothers of Chalosse follow each other and look alike. Not of the taste of the Asch which conceded, this Thursday, May 8, in the overheated arenas of Toulouzette, a fourth setback in as many games this season (after the two in the league and that in the Landes Cup). And here is the ESMS which continues its royal career still on all the tables.
However, from the first seconds, the Asch is more opportunistic, under the leadership of Descorps (2-7, 3e). He finds the flaw in the racket in an opposing defense a little too permissive and does not tremble in front of the repair line (4-10, 5e). The protégés of Arnold Bouazza do not find a solution, losing precious ammunition. You don’t need asch more to continue on its way. Acker, at the bottom of the line, expresses all its power to go up to the dunk (6-12, 6e).
Rather in diesel mode, the ESMS seems to change the gear at the end of the first act. Lesca is the first to maneuver. Jofresa also finds a good opening behind the awarded shots line (12-14, 8e). The ocean blue defense takes water. Keita infiltrates while Bosc does not tremble in front of the repair line to bring his own to a unit (16-17, 10e).
The regrets of the future
The second act begins under a false rhythm where neither of the two collectives manages to put his game. You have to wait a little more than three minutes for the first points. Too penalized by the arbitral duo, ESMS offers possibilities to its opponent who converts through Djimassal (16-20, 13e). In the momentum, he draws a millimeter ball in Monblanc, stuck in the middle of two defenders to investigate two additional points.
Lesca, again, wakes up his family with a distant shot (19-22, 15e), stimulating a 6-0 which relaunches this quarter-final. Now is afraid, the Asch later displays a certain feverishness while limiting breakage. But a new acceleration of white and green concretized by an 8-0 allows them to turn lemons in mind (33-26). A failure in front of the line which already announces the beginnings of some regrets for the protégés of Rémy Condéranne.
Untenable Lesca
Back on the play area, the Asch resumes the course of the game. In good captain, Lissalt shows the way to follow (29-35, 22e). But Lesca lets go of the wild beasts and the opposing defense. A good meter behind the red line, it hits the bull’s eye. If the Blues do not abode, it is however insufficient to switch to the head of the last act (52-48).
The Asch aligned a fourth defeat against ESMS.
Matthieu Sartre
Keita continues the ride of white and green. Combined with a new Lesca band, this is the ESMS which points with a viaticum of + 6 (57-51, 33e). Conderanne boys throw their last forces to reverse the course of the game. Monblanc, with the help of the circle, adjusts a three points to the best moments, bringing his own to -1 (61-62, 37e).
-The opposing reply is immediate and signed – we give it to you in a thousand – by Lesca. Lissalt replies but the defense of ESMS is intractable. Dominated with rebounds, the ASCH collective can bite their fingers, stammer its last two ammunition. The buzzer sounds in arenas garnished as desired and allows the ESMS to win its visa for the Final Four de Pomarez (73-70).
A success that also allows Romain Hillotte and his partners to continue their full box on all competitions. The presence of ESMS in the arenas of Pomarez remains unanswered: in the event of first place in N2, the momentum should participate in the play-offs which take place the same WE, from May 30 to 1is June. It would therefore be forced to the package. The Asch may not yet be eliminated …
