Between their possible functions in the community executive, missions in a satellite organization, accumulation with a municipal mandate or… sanctions for lack of attendance, their remuneration can vary considerably.
It is a tradition at the start of the year, in the same way as wishes or the debate on budgetary orientations, but much more discreet. The metropolis of Lyon summarizes the compensation received by its 150 elected officials during the previous financial year, both in their functions within the community and in satellite organizations. However, these latter positions sometimes prove to be very remunerative, as evidenced by the 2024 compensation table that Mediacités publishes in full at the end of this article.
