A fashion exhibition in the Louvre… a first!
For almost a month, a superb new exhibition on fashion will take place within the Louvre Museum. The latter will present nearly sixty key outfits and thirty home accessories haute couture, such as Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld, Yohji Yamamoto or Dolce & Gabbana.
What is interesting about this exhibition is that Each piece of haute couture will be staged around the museum’s historical collectionsfrom the Byzantine era to the Second French Empire. An unprecedented dialogue that may well surprise us!
In addition to the essential creators, the museum will honor young designers of the moment and will focus on designer Marie-Louise Carven. This figure of Parisian fashion was also a very big art loverA collector at heart, she donated several 18th-century French art objects to the Louvre in 1973.
