Dany Boon and Laurence Arné at the head of a blended family: a lot of happiness but also a big “mental load”

Dany Boon and Laurence Arné were guests of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine this Wednesday evening in C to you. The reason for their arrival on the set of the famous talk show: the theatrical release on June 26 of The Hennedricks Family. A comedy directed by the actress (her first film behind the cameras), in which they play the parents of a blended family. So, it wasn’t very hard for them to put themselves in the shoes of their characters since they experience this situation on a daily basis. This is what our colleagues from Paris Match recently recalled, after going to meet them.

“He arrived with his five children born from three unions, Mehdi, the eldest, then Noé, his son with Juidth Godrèche (married in 1998) and the three of Yael Harris, with whom he stayed for almost fifteen years“. And she, “has a 12-year-old son, whose father, Jérôme Duchamps, is an advertising executive.”

Dany Boon and Laurence Arné, rare confidences

Through her role in this film, that of Justine, Laurence Arné evokes in C to you the way we handle such a situation as parents: “We want to do everything so that our child wants to believe in the family in a second reunification (…) But she (her character, editor’s note) is a little forced to let go. She is under so much mental strain that she explodes. And that’s where all the intelligence of Ludo (the father, played by Danny Boon, editor’s note), is in something more flexible, non-verbal.“Dany Boon then immediately bounced back:”This is what we did with our children (…) They all adore each other and when we’re all together it’s a happy mess. She talks about this in her film. The mental load, and the fact of bringing a family together. It is very beautiful. I love the movie.

Coming back to their interview in Paris Match, we learned that they don’t really live together. In fact, they share everything together, including their children but not their apartment: “Brussels for him, Paris for her, 300 kilometers away, but an hour and a half from Thalys.“As for their meeting, Laurence Arné said:”We fell in love while working together. It’s really very stimulating. What we love about our relationship is having our scripts read to each other.

As a reminder, it is very rare for them to speak about their relationship.
