“An order that carries a social project”

On the occasion of the renewal by half of the National Council of the Order of Architects, Christophe MILLET, DPLG architect, previously treasurer of the CNOA, was unanimously elected President of the National Council.

The elected Bureau is made up of: vice-presidents: Yolaine PAUFICHET, Fabien GANTOIS; treasurer: Laurence NGUYEN; deputy treasurer: Thibaut MAUGARD; secretary: Guillaume BLANCHARD; assistant secretary: Jean-Baptiste GRIESMAR.

Christophe MILLET, architect in Lyon, presented himself as a president displaying an ambition to build a common project with all elected officials of the National Council, respectful and independent of the architectural ecosystem.
Through a brief biography which took him from construction sites during his youth to his architectural agency, Christophe MILLET has justified his ordinal commitment. He underlined his satisfaction at welcoming the elected officials from the Fair(e) list who, by their number, will bring prospective balance to the newly constituted Council. The ambitions, carried by the remaining elected officials at the start of their mandate, will be necessary to take strong positions in the interest of architecture and the profession.

The president spoke of the immense challenges awaiting the Council: the ecological emergency, the political crisis, the fragility of the profession.
He reiterated his desire to continue the social project initiated 3 years ago and to do everything possible to strengthen the essential role of the architect in our society.
Finally, he thanked Christine LECONTE to whom he succeeds and praised the ordinal action of the previous mandate.

Christophe Millet, 45 years old, architect from Lyon, has been involved since the start of his career in the Institution Ordinale (Regional Advisor to the Order of Architects Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes from 2013 to 2020, Member of the Board of Directors of the École nationale supérieure of Architecture of Lyon 2018 to 2020, Treasurer of the National Council of the Order of Architects since 2021).
Within its professional activity, the collective housing projects developed by its agency illustrate a desire to place each achievement in its own territory, in coherence with uses, climate and resources.
