Like the restaurants of the heart, like the food bank, we would like certain events to no longer take place… Unfortunately in 2024, the observation is there, more and more families are experiencing difficulties in feeding themselves, like they experience difficulties in offering vacations to their children. Because in France, 1 in 3 children still do not go on vacation.

So for several years, to allow them to experience the joys of the deep blue sea, the mountains, or the countryside, Secours Populaire has been mobilizing to offer dreams to these children With a very simple motto, “a purchased work is a child going on vacation.” Putting art at the service of the most deprived is the principle of the Solid’art show, which is celebrating its 10th this year.e birthday.

To finance the campaign called “Les Oubliés des Vacances”, Secours Populaire invites you to meet at Lille town hall, where, on nearly 2,500 m², no less than 120 artists will mobilize throughout on weekends to collect donations for the association.

The idea of Solid’art is to be a unifying eventexplains Florian Neveu, the director of the show. All together, we are mobilizing to raise funds so that all the children at least have the opportunity to go away, so that they have a day of escape, so that they too have memories to tell their friends. It is also a question of well-being and dignity.”

The idea is also to offer works accessible to all budgets, so that everyone can reach out to their children. Each artist therefore offers works in different formats ranging from €25 to €5,000.

A great initiative for Jef Aérosol, sponsor in 2019: “Solid’Art is a great idea, which puts art at the service of an important cause. Too many children leave never their neighborhood. It is important that each of us, at our own level, do a little something to help Secours Populaire offer these children a few hours or a few days of change of scenery, discovery, joy and happiness. »

We will thus be able to admire the photos of Nablezon, the collages of La Dame Quicolle, the street art of Kelu Abstract or the torn paintings of Martin Loume, and of course the animal portraits of the artist Sandrot, godmother of this 2024 edition. It is with immense gratitude that I undertake to contribute, in whatever way I can, to the development of the children supported by Secours populaire. Allowing them to share moments of happiness is a mission that brings hope. They represent our future, that of all humanity “.
