The 32nd edition of the Africa festival in Bagnols, supported by Peuples Solidaires, began this Monday, November 4 at the Mallet cellar with the opening of an exhibition by photographer José Alvarez.

The 32nd edition of Africa in Bagnols, organized by Peuples Solidaires Bagnols, was launched this Monday, November 4 at the Mallet cellar with the opening of the exhibition of the photographer from Beaucaire, José Alvarez. Twenty-seven portraits of young Senegalese girls and women are on display until this Saturday, November 9 (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). “I took these photos during two humanitarian trips to Senegal in 2019 and 2021says José Alvarez. A conference on Thursday

Around fifty people attended the opening. Just before, members and volunteers of the Maison des alternatives solidaires kicked off the evening with music with a small djembe concert on Place Mallet. The municipality, represented by the mayor and three of his deputies, praised the longevity of the festival and the involvement of the Peuples Solidaires volunteers. The next meeting of this 32nd edition is scheduled for this Thursday, November 7 at 6 p.m. (at Maison Laure-Pailhon) for a conference by Francis Laloupo, researcher and specialist in geopolitics in Africa, on the “Geopolitics of Africa of the West.
