The work of the Tournaisian author, “Celebration of Everyday Life”, is among the three Books suggested by Mathilde for Queen Camilla’s reading club.
The Royal Palace communicated Monday evening Queen Mathilde’s recommendations for the Queen’s Reading Room, the reading club of Queen Camilla (United Kingdom). The Queen of the Belgians pointed out three books, among which we find “Celebration of everyday life”, by the Tournaisian author Colette Nys-Mazure.
“Colette Nys-Masure’s wonderful book invites us to appreciate the little things in life, because in our daily routine, we are often elsewhere, absent, impervious to the sources of wonder that fill our ordinary life,” explains Queen Mathilde. I hope that his positive vision will appeal to you as much as it has appealed to me.”
The two other books recommended by the sovereign are “Les Téméraires” by Bart Van Loo and “Les Amnésiques” by Géraldine Schwarz.
The press release from the Royal Palace also recalls that “the Queen has been committed for years to promoting reading among children and adults”, in particular by participating each year in a reading aloud session on the occasion of the Reading week. “His suggestions for the Queen’s Reading Room aim to make the public (re)discover some books that they particularly like,” adds the Royal Palace.
