Jeane Manson speaks out for the first time after hospitalization for heart attack

Jeane Manson is getting back on her feet. The American singer assured in an interview that she was doing well and that her heart attack, which occurred last month during the re-examination of her case for a trial opposing her to her former daughter-in-law, Coline Berry-Rojtman, for defamation , had resulted from an “emotional shock”.

” I’m doing well. I’m resting,” she said yesterday to The Dispatch on the occasion of his participation in a charitable action for the animal cause. “I had broken heart syndrome, tako-tsubo as they say in Japanese, an acute heart failure that occurred following an emotional shock. I could have died if the help had not been so quick. »

Monitored remission

The 73-year-old star, who was married from 1984 to 1986 to Richard Berry and lives part of the year in Aurillac, in Cantal, then thanked her fans and the staff of Saint-Joseph hospital in Lyon, where she received intensive care. Jeane Manson clarified that she was still being “monitored” medically.

At the time of the incident, the singer felt “chest pain” and rushed out of the courtroom as her lawyer prepared to take the stand for her closing argument. She was then placed on cardiac support and intensive care before being transferred to Aurillac to receive further treatment.

Judgment under advisement

The case began in 2021 when Coline Berry-Rojtman, eldest daughter of Richard Berry with Catherine Hiegel, accused her father of sexual violence against a minor, in which Jeane Manson allegedly participated. These accusations, dismissed as time-barred a year later, pushed the singer to sue her ex-daughter-in-law for defamation.

However, the conviction of Coline Berry-Rojtman in April 2022 was annulled by the Court of Cassation in December 2023. A decision contested by Jeane Manson which relaunched the trial and led her to her unfortunate hearing last month. The judgment was reserved until July 17.
