Saint-Agrève: an exhibition of press photos by Jean-Claude Lagrange

“Beyond words: press photos”, this exhibition by Jean-Claude Lagrange will be hung at the sociocultural center of Saint-Agrève from May 13 to 24.

The socio-cultural center of Saint-Agrève offers an exhibition of photographs presented by Jean-Claude Lagrange, a familiar face of the Plateau which he travels with camera and notebook in hand to report on the events of local daily life, which they relate to cultural, political, economic… within the framework of his functions at Dauphiné Libéré.

The delicate art of portraiture from life

“Press correspondent since 2015 for Dauphiné Libéré, on the Saint-Agrèvois plateau, I like meeting people, whether they are famous or anonymous. With the portrait, I try to capture, beyond words, a more fragile, more fleeting feeling. An exercise that is not always easy, because we rarely control the location, the light and the availability of the subject.”

Opening reception on May 14 at 6 p.m.

The exhibition will be held from Monday May 13 to Friday May 24 with an opening in the presence of the artist on Tuesday May 14 at 6 p.m. A moment to be privileged, to discuss photography and the exhibition, in a friendly and warm way.

It will be accessible from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (except Friday afternoon, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
