The keenest eye will notice that the bride is not completely dressed in white, but that she wears a pair of unusual earrings for a wedding in her ears. These two cherries on each lobe are a symbolic detail for the couple, as Renaud confided last year to Parisian.
“Christine has been following me for 30 years, but we first met six years ago, on a TV set. She wore cherry earrings, unforgettable! That’s why I call it “Cherry”.”, he explained during an interview. Renaud also invited other artists known to the general public to share this beautiful moment, notably the singer Hugues Aufray. “It’s an unmissable event,” he rejoiced with Paris Match. “Renaud is like a little brother to me, I don’t want to monopolize him but he is very important in my life” he confided. The two singers’ companions became friends, according to him.
Among the guests were also Vianney, Bénabar, Dave, and the actor Jean-Paul Rouve. This marriage with “Cerise” is the third for the singer, who was married to the mother of his daughter Lolita, Dominique Quilichini, then to the mother of his son Malone, Romane Serda.
