Christine Bravo scammed and in trouble: “I left all the life insurance there”

Christine Bravo and Frou Frou, it’s a love story that lasts… or almost! The former successful presenter, who left the TV and radio screens for several years, is not idle, however, and has converted since 2018 to river rental. As she revealed to our colleagues at Parisian this Saturday, May 4, 2024, the recently married sixty-year-old acquired an art deco boat, which she rents on the occasion of prestigious cruises called Under the skirts of the Seine.

But if his boat was recently chosen by the organizers of the 2024 Games to parade on the Seine on July 26, this pretty waking dream almost turned into a nightmare. Indeed, upon its acquisition in 2018, Stéphane Bachota real estate agent specializing in boats, didn’t really find the rare gem he thought… “At the Arsenal port in Paris, he showed me a very poorly maintained boat. I fell in love with this yacht of Dutch origin, with a tulip-shaped hull which, basically , was sailing at sea. I bought it immediately remembers the who has since married her boat salesman.

Christine Bravo almost “threw in the towel” because of Covid

The problems then only began… A few weeks after the acquisition, the former host offree Union discovers a hidden defectbut has no legal recourse. “If I had known, damn it, I would never have bought it” regrets the one who had to face serious financial problems to get her head above water in her interview at the Parisian. “I got scammed because there were holes in the hull” she adds. The exorbitant costs of the repair work led Christine Bravo to break the bank.

One problem led to another, and while she thought her yacht was ready to welcome travelers, the emerging Covid epidemic left her alone. “He grounded us. Our commercial activity was just starting. We had zero turnover, so we had zero help” remembers the one who had to “leave all the life insurance (that she intended) to leave to (her) children”. Christine Bravo is today far from problems, and the parade of Frou Frou for the 2024 Olympics will be the witness of all the efforts and sacrifices undertaken, illustrating the motto of Paris as well as possible, fluctuat NEC mergitur : he is beaten by the waves but does not sink…
