Many of them made the trip to attend the wedding of Renaud Séchan and Christine, which the singer usually nicknamed Cerise. The two lovebirds, who have been a couple for several years, united this Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the town hall of the 14th arrondissement of Paris, in front of a large number of celebrities. Among them, we can cite in particular the emergency physician and columnist Patrick Pelloux, the singers Dave, Vianney and Bénabar, or the actors Jean-Paul Rouve and Philippe Lellouche.
But if there was one guest more important than the others in Renaud’s eyes, it was inevitably his best friend. Hugues Aufray. Coming alongside his wife Murielle, whom he married on September 2, 2023 in the presence of Renaud and Cerise, but also of Jean-Luc Reichmann for example, the 94-year-old singer was very moved by the new life of his best friend, with whom he has shared an unfailing friendship for several decades.

In a video interview given to Paris Match and relayed on social networks, the nonagenarian made a beautiful declaration to his lifelong friend: “It’s an unmissable event for me (…) Renaud is like a little brother to me. I don’t want to monopolize him like that, but he is very important in my life. And I couldn’t escape that.” testified the interpreter of Santiano.
Hugues Aufray is all the happier that his wife Murielle and the wife of his best friend recently met, and have since become friends. A meeting which was important for the two friends, who would have had great difficulty managing a possible disagreement: “My young wife sympathized enormously with Cerise, and it was essential for me, because if things hadn’t worked out between them, that would have been a very big problem for me. And it went very well and I’m happy to be there to wish them all the happiness they deserve.”.
Renaud stole his first wife from a famous actor
This is Renaud’s third marriage. The singer, who will celebrate his 72nd birthday in a few days, was first married in 1980 to Dominique Quilichini, the ex-wife of Gérard Lanvin whom she left for the singer five years earlier. Together, they had a daughter, Lolita Séchan, eight days after their marriage. The couple ended up divorcing in 1999, at the same time that Renaud met Romane Serda, with whom he married on August 5, 2005. From this second union Malone was born in July 2006. The couple divorced in September 2011 but continued to maintain a good relationship. In a relationship for more than three years with Cerise, a costume designer in the city, Renaud bought a house in Trentemoult (Loire-Atlantique) in 2022. The one who has physically changed enormously over the years spends happy days there with his dear and loving , while preparing his new album of unreleased songs.
