Guest on the show What an era on May 4, 2024 on France 2, Adriana Karembeu made beautiful confidences about her marriage to Christian Karembeu, 1998 world football champion, with whom she was married from 1998 to 2011. In full promotion of her book Free, published on May 2 by Editions Leduc, she confided that she had been madly in love with the athlete for many years. “You said nice things about Christian Karembeu in your book… You also respond to the evil tongues who said that it was thanks to him, that you owed your career to him and all that. In fact, were you already a star?” asks Léa Salamé.
“Star, I don’t know but I earned a very good living, I worked a lot before Christian but it’s true when we were together, there was the World Cup, we were a mixed couple. I think we were very beautiful together and as a result it created a kind of thing around us and we must not forget, I experienced the World Cup with him, it was a completely crazy time. Léa Salamé then returned to their wedding “completely crazy” celebrated in 1998 in Porto-Vecchio in Corsica, a celebration that she describes as a wedding “rockstars.”

“We lived for years… We were rockstars” she clarified. Where some would have had a hard time with the excitement, Adriana Karembeu said she kept “very very good memories” of this story now finished. She also took the opportunity to return to the circumstances that led them to divorce : “You know, there are couples who separate, it’s not necessarily a failure, we lived together for 15 years, we were very, very happy. Sometimes, there are love stories which are perhaps – being too strong and it’s better to do it that way I think, today, it hurt me very, very badly but I think it was better that way…” she concluded, remaining evasive on the causes of their divorce.
Now the mother of a little girl Nina born on August 17, 2018, the model separated from her father Aram Ohanian but found love in the arms of a new man. A mysterious prince charming”green Eyed” which she recently mentioned to TV Star and who would have “revolutionized his life”.
