Those who want to obtain the “Pub Royal” CD will, however, have to wait until May 10, while the vinyl is scheduled for the summer, the group announced in a Facebook publication.

“It’s difficult to say what state of mind I’m in a few hours before the release of this final album made with Karl,” reacted the group’s guitarist, Jean-François Pauzé, on Instagram.

“I think my old comrade would be proud of the work accomplished,” he added, confessing “tangled emotions” regarding the release of the album.

In addition to the late singer Karl Tremblay, Jean-François Pauzé and Marie-Annick Lépine also sang “everything [leur] heart” on these new songs.

Due to the time difference, French admirers of Cowboys Fringants were already able to get their hands on the new songs in the evening. Some were already sharing their first impressions in the Les Cousins Fringants Facebook group.

“The slap, this album”, it is possible to read in one of the publications on the social media.
