The story begins by following Gauthier, a young journalist, who learns from his mother that he is the illegitimate son of Guy Jamet, a French variety artist who had his hour of glory between the 60s and 90s. This one is just releasing a cover album and touring. Gauthier decides to follow him, camera in hand, in his daily life and his provincial concerts, to make a documentary portrait.

Guy attracted more than 180,000 spectators in theaters. It is currently available on VOD and DVD. The film received the César for best actor for Alex Lutz, and for best music. It was presented at the end of Critics’ Week in in 2018.
