The BMCI, through its Foundation and in partnership with Galerie 38, is launching the “Vogue” exhibition. The latter, orchestrated and mentored by two figures of contemporary Moroccan and African art.

Amina Benbouchta and Abdoulaye Konaté, highlights four young artists from Morocco but also from Cameroon and Zimbabwe. Through their works, each of them, in their uniqueness, highlights Africa, its richness and its diversity. They all express, through their work, the challenges, hopes and aspirations of our continent.

Much more than an exhibition of contemporary art, it is an entire program of mentoring and research which aims to inscribe different small stories in the great History of African art and in posterity.

This partnership between the BMCI Foundation and Galerie 38 is part of the patronage policy pursued by the BMCI for nearly 20 years. A strong commitment materialized by the creation of the BMCI Foundation in 2008 and the pursuit of an active patronage policy in favor of culture and the arts, in all their forms. Fully invested in the valorization, enrichment and transmission of our cultural heritage, the BMCI Foundation, with the support of the BNP Paribas Foundation, has accompanied and supported various artistic projects which, in addition to contributing to preserving our heritage, defend the accessibility of culture to all Moroccans and the promotion of the arts as a vector of social development.

In recent years, by supporting the books of Ahmed Ben Yessef, Abbes Saladi and Casablanca Nid d’artistes, the BMCI Foundation affirms its desire to promote Moroccan cultural heritage in all its diversity, thus promoting artistic creation. contemporary.

The exhibition is open to the public from April 18 to May 6, 2024. In a logic of democratization of art and culture for the benefit of all, especially the youngest. To this end, the gallery will welcome students from different Casablanca schools to introduce them to the exhibition and interact with the artists.
