A box. Published on November 21, 2024, the book of the Splendid troupe has sold more than 100,000 copies in bookstores. Many fans go to the signing sessions to sign their copy of the Splendid by the Splendid, we had so much funpublished by Le Cherche Midi.
On the occasion of the Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival, Gérard Jugnot and Marie-Anne Chazel, members of the troupe which celebrated its 50th anniversary, met dozens of people. The actress was also overwhelmed: “I’m very busy writing and I’m concentrating! There’s a bit of stress, we’re going to have to sign for everyone,” the actress slipped into the RTL microphone.
Touched by the fervor of the spectators, who became readers, she did not hide her surprise: “It’s always surprising to see that it lasts like that. I’m not jaded!“.
Gérard Jugnot was also very moved. “We really like the book. It’s also the last thing we did with Michel [Blanc]so it counts. It’s good to still be here after all this time. The only problem is what time are we going to be able to eat?”, the actor laughed.
The signing session, which was supposed to last only ten minutes, ended up lasting an hour. Copyrights will be donated at the Foundation for Medical Research.
