The Novacel company was the scene of a firefighter operation, late in the morning, this Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The factory located in Déville-lès-Rouennear Rouen (Seine-Maritime) saw one of its machines catch fire.
Shortly after 11 a.m., the first fire engines parked near the factory, rue du Docteur-Émile-Bataille. “A machine caught fire”explains the factory to 76actu. An accident classified as “not serious”.
Around ten employees evacuated
According to our information, around ten employees were evacuated before being taken care of by the firefighters. Before, finally, being left behind. “The whole business has since picked up. There is no stoppage of activity,” adds the factory.
-As the fire did not spread, clean-up operations were completed barely an hour after the start of the disaster. Note that the factory Novacel de Déville, is not classified Seveso. This is a company which manufactures protective films and employs more than 200 employees.
