Illinois resident Tim King was renovating his parents' childhood home when he discovered a gift in a wall. A special discovery, in the middle of Christmas time.
A gift 46 years late. Illinois resident Tim King was surprised to discover, nestled in one of the walls of his parents' home where he grew up, a Christmas gift that was intended for him when he was a child.
A discovery that he immortalized on social networks on December 27. This construction company owner was in the middle of renovating his parents' bathroom when he found the package, wrapped in paper with the image of Disney characters.
“Before I closed the drywall on the wall, I thought, 'I should probably look to see if there's anything behind it,' and sure enough, there was a present,” he said entrusted to local channel KTLA.
A gift from Christmas 1978
Even more surprising, written on the packaging, is the name Tim. “When I took it out, it was really old wrapping paper and I was like, ‘oh shit, it’s got my name on it’.” According to the construction professional, the gift fell into a crack between the walls, because his parents used to hide the packages in the attic.
Tim King waited for his mother to open the package, an unboxing immortalized in another video. The fifty-year-old discovered a set of “Matchbox Thunder Jets”, small miniature fighter planes. “I must have been 6, so it's pretty awesome,” he explained, dating the gift to 1978.
