Do you dream of spending the summer by the water while being useful for the safety of swimmers? The 2025 summer season could be the opportunity to become a water lifeguard in Gironde! The union for the surveillance of the beaches and lakes of the Gironde coast (Surveplage 33) has opened applications to recruit nearly 400 sea lifeguards. We explain how the applications take place.
Positions are to be filled in several coastal and lake communities in Gironde. Between Soulac-sur-Mer, Grayan and The Hospital, Vendays-Montalivet, Naujac-sur-Mer, Hourtins, Straightjackets, Lacanau, He gives them, Lège Cap-Ferret, The Mouth-Head et Gujan-Mestrasthere is a choice. Applicants must meet certain conditions to be eligible. You will need be of age for the summer season and hold one of the following diplomas : BEESAN, BNS, BPJEPS AT, MNSor a STAPS training license mentioning aquatic activities and monitoring. In addition to these qualifications, you must have the Level 2 Team First Aid diplomaup to date with annual continuing education.
How to apply?
To apply, simply prepare your application and send it before March 24, 2025. The file is available online on the website of the municipality of Lacanauwhere the Surveplage headquarters 33. Once your application has been submitted, you will be able to participate in a day of selection to prove your skills and motivation. These days will take place on five geographic sites different, and you can register according to your geographical preferences.
Selection days:
- 12 avril 2025 : in Montalivet for the commune of Vendays-Montalivet.
- 19 avril 2025 : in Lacanau for the municipalities of Lacanau, Carcans, Hourtin and Naujac-sur-Mer.
- April 19 or 20, 2025 (depending on the weather): in Lège-Cap Ferret for Lège Cap-Ferret and Le Porge.
- April 19 and 20, 2025 : in Soulac-sur-Mer for Soulac-sur-Mer and Grayan-et-l’Hôpital.
- 26 avril 2025 : at La Teste de Buch for La Teste de Buch.
