An investigation by “Le Monde” reveals the uninhibited homophobia of the President of the Republic and his close advisors.
Amid political turmoil, and while the head of state is on the front, in Mayotteafter the passage of a cyclone of extreme violence, an investigation by Le Monde, which reveals the lackluster language of Emmanuel Macron and his close advisors, could have gone unnoticed.
However, the first episode of this four-part investigation, published this Wednesday, December 18 and which paints a very uncomplimentary portrait of the man at the head of the “start-up nation”, caused many LGBT associations and activists to react.
For Macron, no more promises of an exemplary State. At the Elysée, the one who in 2017 assured that “the presidential function requires aesthetics and transcendence” is creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Fright club
Behind the gates of the palace, the “Mormons”, these members of the early gang, have all decamped one after the other. “From the original Macron, only or almost only Alexis Kohler remains,” underlines Le Monde. Only a few faithful from the beginning remained to advise the president, including Jonathan Guémas, a former writer now in charge of “communication and strategy” for the head of state, and Clément Lénarduzzi, who has since returned to Publicis.
“With [ce boys club]we are far from the sacred and the transcendent… In the evening, the president finds them to distract himself after exhausting days”, reveal our colleagues from Monde. “Little queer”, “big tarlouze”… This is how they talk to each other, by text messages or over a glass of whiskey. “From 15,000e degree”assures Jonathan Guémas, somewhat embarrassed! Funny way to burn out your last cartridges…
But that’s not all, because, always according to the Mondethe Elysée would have had fun nickname Matignon “the crazy cage” during a period. A barely veiled reference to the homosexuality of the youngest-Prime Minister of the Fifth Republic, Gabriel Attal.
For his part, the Elysée “firmly and absolutely denies the remarks” of our colleagues from Monde.
