A break in the war, the promise of a return home… The prospect should have delighted the more than 60,000 Israelis in the north of the country who had to leave their homes 14 months ago due to clashes with Hezbollah. But in reality, it’s quite the opposite. And Benjamin Netanyahu’s little sentence on Tuesday evening – “We will bring the inhabitants of the north back to their homes as we did in the South” – only fueled their anger.
