Their objective: to occupy the intersection in front of the seat of legislative power and obtain the release of their leader. Imran Khan has been in jail since last year. He has been prosecuted in around one hundred and fifty cases since he was ousted from power by a motion of censure in 2022 and maintains his innocence.
