In 2020, the General Prosecutor's Office opened criminal proceedings against him for promoting “people guilty of genocide”, explains EuroNews. Under pressure, the AUR once again dissociated itself from Calin Georgescu. But since the results of the first round, the party seems to have returned to this position.
