While the results of the first round of the legislative elections saw the RN come out on top, some outgoing deputies were re-elected in the first round in their constituencies.

The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, is re-elected in the 10th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine. As for the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, he announced that he is leading in the 1st constituency of the North: “The results of this first round put us in the lead in the votes in our constituency of Tourcoing, Halluin, Linselles, Neuville-en-Ferrain, Bousbecque and Roncq”. François Hollande, NFP candidate, comes first in the 1st constituency of Corrèze.

Olivier Faure, First Secretary of the Socialist Party, was re-elected in the 11th constituency of Seine-et-Marne, while Prisca Thevenot, Minister Delegate for Democratic Renewal, was re-elected in the 8th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine.

François Ruffin in difficulty

A more difficult evening for Fabien Roussel. The National Secretary of the French Communist Party was eliminated in the first round in the 20th constituency of the North, by the RN candidate Guillaume Florquin. For his part, François Ruffin is in an unfavorable position in the 1st constituency of the Somme. The former Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, comes second in the 6th constituency of Calvados, behind the RN.
