Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that Israel needs American weapons in “the war for its existence,” after claiming Washington was blocking their delivery.

“I am prepared to suffer personal attacks on the condition that Israel receives from the United States the weapons it needs in the war for its existence,” he said in a statement, addressing the House directly. -White.
Israel has been at war with Hamas in Gaza since the Palestinian Islamist movement carried out an unprecedented attack on Israeli territory on October 7.
Mr. Netanyahu’s statements come after he angered the United States, his main ally, accusing it in a video published Tuesday of “withholding weapons and ammunition [destinées à] Israel”.
