A Brazilian influencer who published on Instagram her escapade with an inflatable on an Italian beach in Sardinia closed to the public has received a heavy fine.

Rogéria Guia, who published three videos in an Instagram story on June 11 in which we see her disembarking in an inflatable boat on the beach of Spiaggia Rosa, a site prohibited from access, was fined 1,800 euros, the equivalent of more than of $2600.

Since the 1990s, the Italian authorities have banned access to the page located on the island of Budelli, which is part of the Maddalena archipelago, in order to preserve its pink tone due to the presence of limestone shells.

This unicellular marine organism had almost disappeared due in particular to the recurring theft of sand from the beach, which pushed the authorities to take this radical decision, according to “Ouest-France” which cites the Italian daily “Corriere della Serra”.

The videos of the influencer who lives in Dubai caused an outcry on social networks, while the Italian coast guard carried out an investigation which allowed them to trace the Brazilian woman.

The latter was fined 300 euros (nearly $442) for violating the ban still in force and 1,500 euros (around $2,200) for disembarking with a boat without any authorization, according to the French media. .
