CARTE – While the Democrats had won all the presidential elections since 2008 in this key state, Donald Trump won quite clearly. He brings his total to 301 voters, compared to 226 for Kamala Harris.

According to CNN, Donald Trump is given the victory in Nevada, gleaning six additional electors and bringing his total to 301, against 226 for Kamala Harris. There now remains only one state that has not announced its winner. This is Arizona, where the future 47th President of the United States has a 155,216 vote lead while a quarter of the ballots still have to be counted this Friday.

Kamala Harris or Donald Trump: who is leading the presidential election in the United States?

Over the last ten presidential elections, the inhabitants of the state have almost always given their vote to the final winner, thus alternating between Republican periods (Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush, George W. Bush) and Democratic periods (Bill Clinton, Barack Obama). In 2016, however, they chose the loser, in the person of Hillary Clinton. A democratic trend confirmed four years later. Joe Biden had in fact won by more than two points, despite an extremely long count.
