Two authors who write “non-fictional literary works”, the Frenchwoman Muriel Pic and the German Anne Weber engage in a game of ping-pong. Rules of the game: one sends a text that evokes an archive, a memory, a trace. The other responds to an element of what she received, by changing the documentary location: “A meeting with twists and turns”, a diary of discoveries, a game which places the dice in the hands of the past. The stakes are serious, it is about the violence of the story, the tears it causes. The exchanges are lively, rapid, elegant. These mourners lament the disasters of the world with erudition, modesty and talent.
