The day after Donald Trump's victory, the billionaire appeared in what looks like a photo of (the large) Trump family. A way of displaying the affinities between the two personalities.
Elon Musk who slips between two Trumps… The billionaire and unconditional supporter of the new elected president of the United States appeared in a family photo, published on the social network X by Kai Trump, Donald's granddaughter. “The whole gang” sums it up.
Among the 15 members of the family clan, we find his sons Donald Jr, Eric, Barron and his two daughters Ivanka and Tiffany, to whom must be added the (ex-)wives and husbands as well as the president's grandchildren. Only Melania Trump is missing.
On the other hand, Elon Musk came accompanied by his son X Æ A-12, one of the 11 children of the boss of Tesla and
“He’s great.”
The photo clearly shows the links forged between the billionaire who embraced the Republican cause after the first assassination attempt last July. Trump did not fail to pay tribute to his ally during his post-election speech.
“He's great, we campaigned together. He sent a rocket last week, I saw it come back, it was sublime, the tower caught the rocket like a baby. Only Elon is capable of doing that, that's why I love you Elon” enthused Donald Trump.
There is little doubt that Elon Musk will have a key role in the new administration. “We would be delighted to have it. We are very inclusive,” laughed Donald Trump before the election.
It remains to be seen whether he will keep a place in the shadows or whether he will be given a more political role. A position which would then necessarily be more complex to assume as Musk's companies – and in particular SpaceX – depend on the goodwill (and money) of the American government.
Always richer
Last September, Donald Trump explained that he wanted to entrust him with a mission to lead a reform of the American administration in order to reduce public spending.
But if Elon Musk has never hidden his ideological connections with the president-elect on social or identity issues, it is on questions of the economy and business regulation that he hopes to obtain a return of favor.
Whether for its launchers (SpaceX), its brain implants (Neuralink) or its artificial intelligence (Grok), the South African intends to further develop its businesses and, consequently, its fortune. Tesla shares jumped 15% after Trump's election. According to Bloomberg's wealth ranking, Elon Musk should soon exceed $300 billion.
