CHe was a tough guy among tough guys, and he led Gaza into one of the most terrible wars in its history. After the October 7 attack, which caused the death of some 1,200 Israelis, the Gaza Strip was ravaged by the Israeli army, which killed more than 42,000 people.

But Yahia Sinwar was a Palestinian, and he was killed by the enemy. This is essentially what Gazans think after his assassination, on October 16, 2024, in Rafah, in the south of the enclave.
