Real dog or optical illusion? This is undoubtedly the question that paraglider Alex Lang asked himself when he flew over the summit of the Cheops pyramid (Egypt) this Monday. After getting closer, he was surprised to see that it was indeed an animal, as shown in this video relayed by the American media ABC News and The Parisian.

A forbidden climb

In this unusual sequence, we can see the paramotor pilot approaching the great pyramid of Giza, at the top of which the animal is gradually taking shape. The latter, of a color similar to that of the pyramid, seems to have climbed the 139 m of the famous building on its own.

Visibly at ease, the animal sunbathes and turns in circles on the small flat brick which forms the top of the pyramid. An ascent which, if he had been a human, would probably have cost him dearly. Our colleagues point out that climbing this pyramid, which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, is strictly prohibited by law.

The “dog god”

Nothing to worry about the intruder who, the next day, was still at the top of the building, as another paramotor enthusiast proved on his Instagram account.

The latter finally published a new video in which we can see the doggie, whom he nicknames the “canine god”, nimbly descending the imposing limestone blocks. As a reminder, the Cheops pyramid is more than 4,000 years old.
