Lhe Japanese government solemnly protested this weekend, following comments made on Wednesday by Joe Biden during an election rally. The White House guest criticized the refusal of countries like Japan, Russia, China and India to welcome more immigrants and described these states as “xenophobic”. The archipelago informed Washington how “regrettable” and “unfortunate” it considered such “comments not based on a precise understanding of Japanese policy”.
