A special location
On March 30, 2023, the Air Republic restaurant (just like the Pure C**) closed its doors… The love story between Sergio Herman and the town of Cadzand lasted almost 15 years. Beyond the closure of a popular starred restaurant, many wondered what would become of this exceptional location, facing the sea, which was accessed from Knokke by small motorboat… We know more today on the new establishment into which all the trendy people in Knokke are already rushing…

Welcome Beach Boy
Beach Boy Cadzand opened on the last Saturday in April, on Cadzand beach, which is, undoubtedly, one of the most incredible spots along the coast. Indeed, it feels like you’re in Miami, a stone’s throw from Knokke and its ugly 10-story buildings, you find yourself here in unspoilt nature, in a much more airy landscape and often, you eat with your feet in the sand facing the sea… The beach bars of Zelande are a special feature that is worth the trip. The latest is called Beach Boy and it is therefore based in the former modernist restaurant of Sergio Hermann: an exceptional setting, a cuisine which gives pride of place to seafood.
Restaurant or terrace
The space is divided in two with on one side the restaurant which offers an experience of “Verfijnde casual dining”, translate a simple but refined dinner, around the flavors of the sea. Here fish and shellfish play the main role in restaurant mode. On the other side you have the terrace, where you are served cocktails and small dishes to share, with light meals throughout the day. The setting and curiosity should ensure this new establishment is visited all summer long…
